Common CLAT FAQs
CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. It is a centralized entrance exam conducted by the National Law Universities (NLUs) and other institutions for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Students who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum qualifying percentage of 50% are eligible to appear for the CLAT exam. Interestingly there is no upper age limit for undergraduate programs. For postgraduate programs, candidates must meet the age criteria specified by the participating NLUs.

The CLAT exam is a computer-based test (CBT) with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The undergraduate (UG) program exam duration is for 2 hours. The UG exam consists of 150 questions.
Each correct answer in the CLAT exam is awarded one mark, while each incorrect answer carries a penalty of 0.25 marks. The final score is calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers.

AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is an entrance exam conducted by the National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) specifically for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate law programs.
